SOS West Sussex & the #Floss4Funding
Thank you for flossing for funding with Save Our Schools (SOS) West Sussex on Friday 19 October 2018!

Floss 4 Funding was a national day of action against school funding cuts. Kids and parents flossed and put it up on Twitter, Facebook or Instagram.
We used the hashtags #floss4funding #parentsteachersunite #budget2018 #stillnotlistening
We left messages demonstrating our school community's opposition to funding cuts, and on Twitter we mentioned @DamianHinds @PhilipHammondUK @nickgibbuk and our local MPs.
Here's an example of the messages we sent out:
Parents say: 8% cuts to pupil funding since 2010. Our schools are struggling to cope. #budget2018 must fund our schools properly and undo the damage.@DamianHinds @PhilipHammondUK @YourLocalMP #floss4funding #parentsteachersunite
Local schools such as Thomas A Becket Junior and Goring C of E Primary joined in:
And we had fantastic support from Crooked Tree Events and their video creator academy who made more than a dozen videos for us!
See all the Crooked Tree flossing videos and others on our SOS West Sussex Facebook Group.
By midday, #Floss4Funding was trending on Twitter and the mainstream media were covering it. A big well done to everyone who took part!
